Volunteers

Brompton Swimming Club is a not for profit sports club run exclusively by volunteers and depends on the active participation of its membership. Many parents find volunteering a rewarding experience, supporting their children and club poolside, rather than as a spectator from stands. We always welcome those who would like to take on any number of vital volunteering roles. Should you wish to become involved as a volunteer, you can read more and apply on our Volunteers page.

Safeguarding

Please bring any safeguarding or welfare concerns to the attention of the club Welfare officer, by email, at [email protected]. Further guidance on reporting both safeguarding and welfare concerns can be found on our Welfare page.

Communications

In the unlikely event you stop receiving Brompton Swimming Club monthly invoices or other club communications to your Account email, please check your spam folder and add the TeamUnify email address [email protected] to your list of email contacts. Should these actions not resolve the problem please reach out to [email protected].

Hardship

Brompton Swimming Club is pleased to offer limited financial support to club Members who are experiencing significant hardship. To be considered, Members are asked to complete a short online application for club review. Club hardship awards are offered on a rolling basis throughout the year and will be reevaluated every six months. Applications and any supporting documentation will be treated with the strictest confidence. Should you have any questions about the club hardship programme, please reach out to [email protected]. You may also contact Swim England London for information on available support beyond what the club might provide.

Resignation

In the event a Member decides to leave the club, a one month notice by email to the Head coach is required. For example, if an Account owner (parent/guardian/adult) emails notice any day in May, the final day of the leaving Member (swimmer, coach or volunteer) would be 30 June and the Account would be liable for any fees incurred by the leaving Member up to and including 30 June.

Registration

As a prerequisite for participation in club activities, a swimmer, coach or volunteer must be registered as a Member of the club and of the national governing body of our sport, Swim England. Swim England insures any club-affiliated Member (swimmer, coach or volunteer) while they are engaged in club events, training sessions or competitions. Parents who choose to volunteer their time must also register as a club-sponsored volunteer Member of both the club and Swim England.

The registration process is outlined in the Brompton Swimming Club Letter of Invitation and invites parents (adults) to create an Account to which they add a Member swimmer, coach or volunteer.

Registration payment is due at registration submission, using the payment reference:

SQUAD CODE ACCOUNT LAST NAME (e.g. CD2SMITH)

Once payment is received, the club will email the Account holder (parent) a Swim England new member invitation to initiate processing of a Swim England membership for the club-registered Member. At Swim England processing completion, parents will receive their Brompton Swimming Club Letter of Welcome.

Swimmers are not permitted to swim with the club until they receive their letter of welcome.

Welcome to the club!
