After a brief return to racing in the 25m pool at Ealing, dozens of BSC swimmers were back in action over the last two weeks in two of the most iconic 50m pools in the UK; Ponds Forge in Sheffield and the 2012 Olympic Pool in Stratford, east London. Returning to the competition pool in 2024 at both the Middlesex County Champs and the March Ealing Open Meet, Brompton’s intrepid young athletes picked up right where they left off hitting 100’s of new PB’s, multiple Club Records acorss all age groups, and setting new standards for the club in terms of medals (over 70 despite some of our top swimmers from 2023 moving on) and standing in the County (Another top 5 place overall). Changes to Swim England Safeguarding Policy Following changes to Wavepower, Swim England’s Safeguarding Policy Document, we would like to highlight that Brompton SC’s changing room policy now prohibits ALL USE of mobile phones or other electronic devices in a changing area. This includes: Taking photos or videos Texting Making phone calls Browsing the internet This has been introduced to make sure people feel comfortable in the changerooms and avoid accidental audio and visual footage being captured.
